Living in St Andrews Country Club

St Andrews Country Club is a private, guard-gated golf community in west Boca Raton, founded in 1982 on about 720 acres just west of Jog Road and north of Clint Moore Road. Every one of its 666 homes was custom built, most on lots of a third of an acre or more facing a fairway, a lake, or both. There are no condos, villas or townhomes.

The original homes are mostly Mediterranean and Spanish Revival, with barrel-tile roofs, arched loggias and courtyard entries. Since 2015 about 103 homes have been built new or rebuilt from the ground up, many in a clean contemporary style, and those estates set the top of the market today.

Golf and the club

Two private 18-hole courses wind through the community. The Palmer Course, redesigned by Arnold Palmer Design Company, plays to about 7,000 yards, and the Lakes Course plays along the community's lakes. The 125,000 square foot clubhouse holds the dining rooms, the spa and fitness center, and the resort-style pool, and the tennis center has 15 Har-Tru clay courts plus pickleball. A $27.5 million renovation finished in 2023 rebuilt the lakeside restaurant, the pool pavilion and the courts.

Town Center at Boca Raton, Delray Marketplace and the restaurants along Clint Moore and Jog Road are a few minutes away. Mizner Park, downtown Boca Raton and the beaches are about 20 minutes east. Boca Raton Airport handles private jets, Brightline trains run from downtown to Miami and Orlando, and Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale international airports are each about 30 to 40 minutes away.
